Shaka is a multifaceted agricultural enterprise that focuses on several productions, including honey, wax, cattle, dairy and crops. We are committed to sustainable and inclusive agricultural practices that benefit the communities we serve by working closely with farmers to improve their farming practices, while also believing in the power of nature and striving to create a harmonious relationship between our work and the environment.
Honey and Wax Production
In the field of honey and wax production, we operate a bee farm in an area known for its diverse plant species and favorable weather conditions for honey bees. With an estimated 114,150 bee colonies in the South Omo Zone, our aim is to provide high-quality honey and honey by-products to both local and international markets at affordable prices. We currently sell Shaka Honey and Wax in Addis Ababa and various international markets. Additionally, we assist other honey bee farmers in the area, helping them sell their products in larger markets and providing financial support.
Cattle Breeding and Dairy Farm
Shaka has a farm in the South Omo Zone, Bena-Tsemay District, that cultivates Teff, Corn, various horticulture products and fruits. In addition to providing these products, Our farm creates employment opportunities for the community. We also extend our support to small-scale farmers in the area by providing them with technology, training and financial assistance.
Crop Production and Horticulture
Shaka has crop and horticulture farm in South Omo Zone, Bena-Tsemay District.
We produce Teff, Corn, different horticulture products, and fruits on our farm.
In addition to the products, the farm has created work opportunities for the community. We also empower and support small farmers in the community with technology, trainings and finance.
